Victorious
I love this picture, there is something so refreshing about knowing that the weapons that I used to fight with aren't made by flesh and blood. They fight the evil in the darkness, yet they are forged in the light. There is such freedom in being able to picture what is going on in the spirit. I love it. In Romans 8 and in Ephesians 6 are two chapters that come to mind when I look at this picture. We aren't waging war against flesh and blood, and we aren't wrestling with anything but Evil. Whether it be in us, or the evil around us that lurks at every corner. I like that this picture shows that there is a power that she has not in and of herself but she has it and she stands against the darkness. This is my prayer tonight that we would all be able to stand against the dark forces of evil. It is hard and I know that it is sometimes easier to give up but we can't. That is not what we are called to do. We have to fight, fight for us, for others, because we are already on the winning side. How can you go wrong when you know he has already WON!!! Christ died, and now it is over. I know that seems so simple but it is, He WON!!! Then if he has won, why are things in this world the way they are? Well, I don't claim to know the true reason but I will make a guess and say, because of free will. God has given us free will and allowed us to choose whether or not to walk with him, EVERYDAY! Well that is sometimes where the war comes in because you not only have the things of this world pressing in on you, but you have your flesh pushing from the inside out. That is a very uncomfortable place to be unless you are prepared to FIGHT!!! I am talking about fighting everyday, all the time, EVERYDAY! every second, every attitude, every look, everything. I know that seems like hard work and to some it isn't worth the struggle, but I can tell you that it gets better. It never fully goes away but to fight is better to sit back and watch things get worse and to let the ones you love suffer because you aren't fighting. I was talking with my parents the other day and they were talking about a relative of mine that they felt was NOW coming and trying to change. It has been, to me, a long time coming. I am just glad it is happening. I wanted to tell them that everyone has to decide once and for all that they either want Christ and ALL he has, OR NOT! I pray that your loved ones come to this understanding before mine did but if not, know that prayer will change them. Even if they are 60 years old. God knows that heart of them and He knows what will grab them. I know that God has a time for everyone. I just hope yours is sooner, but if not I will still press in and pray that you too will be victorious. You are being prayed for and I want you to know that I will continue to pray for you so that you get to see Jesus too! Remember you have lives to touch. Remember that God uses anything he can to bring others to him. It may not seem right to others and I am not encouraging you to make another brother stumble, but I am saying that you need to know what God has in your life that will help others come to him. Know that you are loved by a Creator that did all he could to get your heart, if you know him. And if you don't He will do whatever is necessary to allow you the choice to choose him too. Thank you Jesus for that amazing Love! Thank you for your freedom and thank you that we too can have victory when we choose to fight, not just for ourselves but also for others. Thank you for the privilege that we have to fight on anothers behalf. Thank you that we are blessed to stand in the gap and watch them to be victorious. I love you Lord! Thank you for all you do and allow us to be apart of in your Mighty Kingdom. I Love you!
