Where I am...

Have you ever written something like a story and then similarly in life it happens? Things like that happen all the time to me. So now I am always careful what I write in hopes that things are always better than I expect. I wrote a story for school one time and then come to find out a few years later it happened. I tell you this so that you know what I am saying is true. Have you ever wanted to make a difference is someone else’s life just for the benefit of someone else and not you? Have you ever thought about your words and the affect they will have as they shoot out your mouth on someone else’s life. Good or bad? Well that is what I am doing now, praying as I write that some how deep down something will tug at your soul. Whether you feel it now or not, that isn’t for me to decide. All I can do is be obedient to what God tells me to do. So here I am writing,…

Coming from a Church culture that drives home the fact that once you hit 20 marriage should be your next big goal, I fell short. I was definitely wanting that but God knew better. In His infinite wisdom and understanding of Me, His creation. He knew better. I am living proof that His ways are higher than mine, so are His thoughts higher than mine. I know that no matter how long it takes and no matter how many tears that fall I am trying to make sure that I am exactly where I am supposed to be. I know that there are so many hurting around me and I want to make sure that my life can be an example to them. If my life can help just one girl not walk the way that I did it is totally worth it for me to be in this wonderful place of waiting. I have always heard the quaint little phrase “Lady in Waiting” and only now is it that I discover its true meaning. It is for me to wait diligently for the Lord. Actively pursuing Him and furthering His kingdom. Those are hopes and dreams of mine. I desire to not only live it for me but to show others how to do it well and possibly even better. We live in such a culture that we don’t honestly know what it is to wait. We have instant oatmeal, instant shakes, fast food, minute rice, (which we sometimes get impatient for) fast pass, self serve grocery lines, and so much more. Everything we do is pretty much at the push of a button. I think you get my point, but I say this to let you understand that waiting isn’t something we know how to do well. We have learned how not to and so we sometimes live in frustration due to God asking us to WAIT! Most of the time that is His answer because His yes or no will be evident if we just wait on Him. He will be patient with you and lead you by example if you let Him.
